January 02 Using Social Sites For Your Free Background Check
My last post touched on using different resources on the web for your free background check investigations. This time around I am going to give explain to you why social sites are great for conducting your own free background check. Social networking sites such as Myspace and Facebook are great for delving into the backgrounds of new people in your life or business. These sites offer huge amounts of personal data for us to conduct our free background check investigations. Millions of people use these social networking sites on a daily basis. Members use these services to stay in contact with friends and family, network for employment and even find dates. Chances are that if your subject has an Internet connection, then they are a member of at least one of these sites. What we are interested in as arm chair detectives are their profiles. Myspace and sites like them allow members to place personal profiles on their accounts. These profiles contain everything from where they live to where they work. These profiles are a gold mine of free background check data for our investigations. The cool thing about these sites are that they allow us to conduct a search by name, email address and dozens of other search criteria. We can use what information that we have to dial down our search into very tight parameters. This will often times give us the results we need to find our subject's profile. From the profile that we find, we can determine what city or state that we need to focus our investigations on. We can even contact the subject by private message straight from their profile. Social sites are among some of the best tools that we can use in our free background check investigations. This process along with the previous tips I have given you will ensure success in your investigations.

Conducting a free background check is often times very confusing for the average web surfer. There are so many choices to make when deciding which service to choose in our investigations. I have put a lot of time into finding the perfect free background check. I have spent hundreds of dollars and many hours scouring the web. Most of the sites I came across did not deliver what they promised and some were out right scams. Most of these sites I visited would allow me to conduct a search, but would then prompt me to pay for the results. Some services offer basic information but require payment for the more in-depth records. The old adage " You get what you pay for" does hold true to free background check sites. A free service will almost always only deliver the basic results. A "paid" service will provide you with more extensive records including civil, criminal and marriage records. I have found that using these types of services, is still useful however. A free site allows me to determine if there is enough information on my subject to move on to a "paid" service. |
